If you think you have COVID-19 call your GP NOW (and before you visit) or call Healthline on 0800 358 5453

As the COVID-19 virus has continued to spread in the world, each person is asking what they can do to help prevent the spread of the dangerous virus.  At ARL Solutions, we are uniquely positioned to help out where the threat is the most dire.  To carry out asbestos and hazardous material removals, we are required to have the most effective and comprehensive personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE).  Similarly, our trained and experience removalists are already adept at carrying out decontamination.

Decontamination and disinfection are similar concepts which require the utmost attention to detail when cleaning an area.  Therefore in this difficult time, ARL Solutions has worked hard to develop Safe Work Procedures to offer disinfection and cleaning services to place which are known to have been contaminated with the COVID-19.

Before you call for a quote, if you are just after more information about COVID-19, please check the following websites:

We offer services to any business or residence which is known to have been contaminated with COVID-19.  This service is for disinfection—using chemical disinfectants to kill the virus.  This is not your basic “house-cleaner” cleaning services.  We will only take on work in areas which are known to have been visited by a confirmed case of COVID-19.

These services are performed using industrial strength, hospital-grade disinfectants and high-tech PPE and RPE.  The process is a two-step “terminal” disinfection:

  1. Clean all surfaces of anything which could hold the virus (remove dirt, grease, etc.) using normal cleaning detergents and soaps
  2. Disinfect all surfaces using disinfectants known to combat the SARS virus – these disinfectants are recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)

ARL Solutions can carry out disinfection at any commercial or residential property – call us now for a simple (free) quote. The main information we need is:

  1. Details of client (name, contact information, etc.)
  2. Address & type of property (residential, commercial)
  3. Type of rooms (offices, bedrooms, cafeteria, kitchen, etc.)
  4. Details of confirmed COVID-19 cases at the property
  5. Approximate square metres of the area to be disinfected

The general recommendation of the CDC is to wear masks which filter to the N95 standard (95% efficiency).  ARL Solutions employees use masks which filter to the P3 standard (99.05% efficiency) so we know our employees will be safe and sound as they carry out this work.

Moreover, our employees use full-face mask protection, which prevents (1) splash from the disinfecting from contaminating their eyes, (2) splash from the disinfectants causing chemical burns to the eyes, and (3) prevents our employees from touching their faces during disinfectant work.

In addition, our employees use disposable type 5 coveralls to protect the rest of their body from residual contamination during work.

Finally, our employees use disposable heavy-duty nitrile gloves to prevent contamination of the hands during work.

COVID-19 spreads quickly and often times without warning.  The virus can possibly last up to a week on surfaces and then spread.  Once a person has the virus, they can carry the virus and be contagious for up to two weeks without exhibiting any symptoms.  This makes it very difficult to track and prevent the spread of this virus – hence the need for professional disinfection services.

Be on the lookout for these symptoms:

  • Coughing
  • Fever
  • Difficulty breathing

Again, if you think you might have COVID-19, call your GP NOW (and before you visit) or call Healthline on 0800 358 5453
